Covid-19: Akshay, Taapsee, Aayushmann’s uplifting new video earns praise from PM Modi

India is more than halfway through the 21-day nation-wide lockdown period. With life in the nation coming to a standstill and a majority of the population self-isolating in their respective homes, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to Twitter this morning and shared a video of the song titled ‘Muskurayega India (India will smile)’.

The video of the lively song came as a morale booster for the general public. The video featured Bollywood stars like, Aayushmann Khurrana, Kartik Aaryan,among others.

The uplifting, optimistic video was tweeted by PM Modi with the caption, “India will fight. India will win! Good initiative by our film fraternity.”

In the video, photographic stills of prominent spots in the country, like Delhi’s India Gate, Jaipur’s Hawa Mahal and Mumbai’s beaches can also be seen.

Siddharth Malhotra,, Bhumi Pednekar, Ananya Pandey, Kriti Sanon, Raj Kumar Rao and Tiger Shroff can be seen singing from the corners of their homes.

The optimistic song sends across a message that the country will smile again if we support each other in this hour of crisis.

Superstar Akshay Kumar sent out a tweet announcing the release of the song on Monday.

Aayushmann Khurrana, too, sent out a tweet sharing the video with the caption, “Just the feels we need at a time like this.”
